Belle Benfield, painter, printmaker, muralist and curator,  has been working in England & Brooklyn since 2001.  She received her BA in Art History from Goldsmiths College, London.  Her artwork and murals can be seen in New York, Oregon, England and in Santiago de Cuba. 

Belle’s portraits use academic-style painting to represent contemporary subjects who include friends, colleagues and strangers from the street.  Compared to the bland cult of personality perpetuated in today's media-saturated culture, they highlight the strength and diversity of personality in real life.
