My fridge gets full of elderberry syrup each winter. My daughter shrugs off the lurgies from nursery. If I'm tired or run down this herb stops me getting ill. Newsflash - *You can use the weeds growing under your feet to treat minor ailments!*

Join Local Herbalist Belle Benfield to discover how. She'll introduce you to essential and easy to find herbs you can include in your first aid kit at home. We'll make a first aid healing balm together* that you can take home with you. You'll leave inspired to begin incorporating herbal medicine into your daily life.

*We'll be using infused oils made from herbs grown in the Loveland Medicine Garden.

The workshop is offered for free, so do not let ££ be a barrier to attending ...BUT your donations will fund the compost and plants we need to expand the Loveland Medicine in 2025, so please give generously if you can. Suggested donation £5-40.

As the days grow shorter and the world begins to slow down, it's the perfect time to turn inward and focus on self-care.

My Autumn Herb Course offers you the opportunity to connect with the natural world and unlock the healing potential of plants with self-care as our underlying theme.

This is an opportunity to not only explore your own healing, but also to acquire valuable skills in crafting your own medicines that you can share with others.

Throughout the course, you will:

Learn the Basics: An introduction to herbalism and to the medicinal plants that grow abundantly around you.

Hands-On Medicine Making: You will gain practical, hands-on experience in creating your own medicine. We'll meet new plants each class and focus deeply on their medicine. You will be given medicine to take home with you and drink for 5 days ahead of sessions, so that you can experience the medicine in your body before we learn the medicinal and scientific information about the herb, along with a recipe.

Connection and community: Take time for yourself to connect with like-minded earth-lovers and deepen your connection to the incredible support available to us from Mother Earth.

Our small group setting ensures personalised attention and a deep connection with the herbs we are studying.
You'll have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and learn from me, your seasoned herbalist with 9 years of experience.

The Dates:

📆 Wednesday Nights 7pm – 9pm on Sept 11, Oct 16 and Nov 13th.

📍At Ponsanooth Village Hall.

Includes course handouts with recipes and rituals to try at home and we make a remedy each session for you to take home.

Ahead of each session, you’ll get a herb to drink at home so you can build your own deep relationship with the herbs we’re studying.

Mullein - Verbascum thapsus

The root, leaf and flower of this plant are all used as medicine. The leaves are medicine for the respiratory system, soothing inflamed lungs and coughs. The leaves and roots can help with back pain, fibromyalgia and inflammed rheumatic joints. The flowers can be infused in oil for an excellent remedy for ear aches and ear infections.

Come and meet your local medicinal plants and learn to make your own medicine in our Autumn Herb Club. We meet on Wednesday evenings once a month in person in Cornwall and dive deep into how herbal medicine can support your health.
